July was a topsy-turvy month. I had editing deadlines to meet, an ill parent to take care of, and torrential rain that made it difficult to prepare for a visit from relatives from out of town.
As I write this I wonder if July was only about struggle. So I went through the July entries in my bullet journal. Here’s what I found:
I did some research on the content I could produce for my idea to sell digital products.
I created a list of content that could go into a training session on writing.
I wrote four poems.
I attended and contributed ideas to the first online meeting for the Indie Authors Group.
I joined the group Vintage Volumes, where we read and discuss the classics.
I read William Shakespeare’s play, Julius Caesar, which has been on my reading list for months, for the Vintage Volumes discussion.
I wrote a 50-word story for a contest.
And (how could I forget) I filed my income tax returns.
Don’t worry if your climb seems disrupted or slow sometimes. You are still climbing that mountain, lifting yourself up through niches and crevices. Inch forward every day.
Oh! and use a diary or bullet journal, if only to know that you have made progress when you feel you haven’t.
